Light lunch will be served. | ABOUT THE LECTURE: This talk will cover how specific measurements of HIV-1 antibodies are harnessed to identify immune correlates of HIV-1 risk and as well for development of global HIV-1 incidence testing. | ABOUT THE SPEAKER: Dr. Georgia Tomaras is an Associate Professor (with tenure) of Surgery, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics and Microbiology at Duke University Medical Center. Dr. Tomaras is the PI and Director of the Laboratory of Immune Responses and Virology, Associate Director of Research and Director of Training for the Duke Human Vaccine Institute, and PI of the HIV Vaccine Trials Network Laboratory Center at Duke. She is also the PI of a Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation grant to develop a global HIV-1 incidence assay.
