Tonight's talk is canceled due to weather advisories.Kerri-Ann Jones, assistant secretary of the state for oceans and international environmental and scientific affairs at the U.S. Department of State, will present a lecture titled "Global Environmental Challenges: National Interests and International Actions" at Duke University March 3. In addition to her current post, Jones has held several other senior positions in the federal government, serving as associate director for national security and international affairs at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, and as director of the National Science Foundation¿s Office of International Science and Engineering.The lecture is sponsored by the Nicholas Institute for Environmental Policy Solutions, the Sanford School of Public Policy, and the Nicholas School of the Environment. It is free and open to the public.
