Duke Med Elementary 3rd Grade Science Outreach
Duke Med Elementary is a science outreach program run out of the School of Medicine to promote health and wellbeing among 3rd graders in the Durham area. The volunteer session is a 1 hour period where local 3rd graders come to the Trent Semans Center for Health Education at the School of Medicine and engage in science learning activities focused on learning the cardiovascular and gastrointestinal systems. There will be several sessions throughout the year with various elementary schools in the Durham area. Volunteers must complete a community health training at least 30 days prior to volunteering.
