Dr. Nyote Calixte
The Visible Spectrum

In this Visible Spectrum series, we will host a series of discussions on concepts that address being a person of color in a STEM-based scientific community and why its important to explore research paths. We also aim to discuss how to get involved in scientific research at Duke, how to embrace your "science identity" and flourish as a researcher of color. Undergraduates, we want to hear from you! What experiences have you had working in the Duke scientific community? What do you wish you would have known before you got involved? What advice could you offer your peers? What do you still need/want to know? Come join us for a rich discussion of research and being a researcher of color in the visible spectrum of scientific research. RSVP by Tuesday, March 3 by emailing Dr. Nyote Calixte at nyote.calixte@duke.edu.
