Event Image
Monday, May 17, 2021
9:00 am - 2:00 pm

NC State University is pleased to host the 13th Triangle Soft Matter Workshop on May 17, 2021 virtually. The half-day symposium focuses on interactions and collaborations among research groups in the Research Triangle working in the area of soft matter. It will include soundbites (i.e., two minute presentations by students/faculty) and poster sessions. Follow link to website to register to attend, submit soundbites, upload posters and to enter "Art in Science" images.

The "Art in Science" (AIS) project was launched in 2016, as an internal initiative to the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. The AIS receives and publishes the artwork contributed by students and faculty as a product of their research. AIS submissions range from images derived from experimental and computational work or data analytics, to 3-D artifacts, and clips. If you plan to use a PPT/PPTX file for your soundbite, please email it to Jan Genzer (jgenzer@ncsu.edu) by May 13, 2021, midnight.

The 2021 Triangle Soft Matter Symposium is the perfect occasion to host and celebrate the art contributed by the Soft Matter Community of the research triangle. Submissions will be printed on photographic paper and showcased at the Triangle Soft Matter Symposium. Artwork will be judged by the public with judging forms distributed at the Symposium.
