Let's Talk Racism Conference

We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Bettina Love, an award-winning author and Associate Professor of Educational Theory & Practice at the University of Georgia, will be delivering the keynote address for our Second Annual Let's Talk Racism Conference. This year's theme is Recognizing, Resisting & Revising, and Dr. Love will be speaking on the pushout of girls of color.

Please join us Saturday, March 25, 2017 from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM at the H. M. Michaux, Jr. School of Education Building on North Carolina Central University's campus. The Let's Talk Racism Conference is intended to give K-12 educators and pre-service teachers an opportunity to engage in sessions centered on the impact of systemic racism and ways of dismantling it in our schools.

RSVP By March 18. A link to register can be found on the event site listed below. General registration is $40.00 and $20.00 for students. The event is co-sponsored by the North Carolina Central University School of Education, CUBE: Creating University Born Entrepreneurship (University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill), the Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and Ben & Jerry's.
