Playing hopscotch and drinking lemonade toge ther\, both girls would never have imagined where life would lead them. \n\nEva survived the horrors of the Holocaust and the horrific conditions in Auschwitz\, while Anne sadly perished. Of the remaining survivors\, Eva is the last witness to Anee Frank's incredibly short yet powerful lif e.\n\nThis event has been made possible by Chabad of Durham/Chapel Hill\, the Jewish Federation of Durham-Chapel Hill\, The Center for Holocaust\, Genocide and Human Rights Education of North Carolina\, the Duke Center for Jewish Studies\, and the UNC Department of Judaic Studies. Martha Graham's "Dark Meadow Suite" is made up of hi ghlights from a much longer work by Martha Graham\, "Dark Meadow\," which premiered in 1946. The suite\, created in 2016\, is designed to feature the exceptional choreography that Graham created for the ensemble of danc ers in "Dark Meadow." Both the unison dancing and the partnering have bee n recognized as some of Graham's most architectural\, ritualistic\, and p rofound creations. They are clearly inspired by Graham's love of the ritu als of the natives of the American Southwest and Mexico\, which she obser ved as a young woman. Merce Cunningham's "How to Pass\, Kick\, Fall and R un" has an athletic theme\, without any specific references to games. They became known as "The Central Park Five." \ n\nIn 2002\, a convicted murderer and serial rapist\, linked to the case by DNA evidence\, confessed. By the time the court vacated their sentence s\, withdrew all charges and removed them from the sex offender registry\ , they had each served between six and thirteen years in prison.\n\nDocum entarians Ken and Sarah Burns raised awareness of the miscarriage of just ice in 2012\, releasing the documentary\, "The Central Park Five\," which tells the story from the perspective of Salaam\, and Santana\, as well a s the other three\, Korey Wise\, Antron McCray and Kevin Richardson.
