 entific advancements around the perioperative care of solid organ transpl
 ant patients\, Duke Surgery Office of Continuing Medical Education is ple
 ased to support the planning and development of the 2022 Duke Solid Organ
  Transplant Summit. The Summit is a partnership between Duke Department o
 f Surgery\, the Duke Department of Medicine\, and the Duke Department of 
 Pediatrics to facilitate the multidisciplinary adoption of new research r
 esults and practice guidelines by regional healthcare providers who care 
 for solid organ transplant patients\; kidney\, liver\, heart and lung. Th

 eet the demands of today's busy healthcare provider. The Solid Organ Tran
 splant Summit will be a highly interactive format to include didactic ses

DESCRIPTION:The DUSON Community Health Improvement Partnership Program (D-
 CHIPP) M-PACT grant (Mobile Prevention and Care Team) presents the first 
 of a series of performances aimed to strengthen understanding among Duke 
 faculty and staff of social determinants of health.\n\nThe performances w
 ill expand practical applications of health literacy. The production was 
 developed and scripted to depict realistic interactions between patients/
 care providers and faculty/students. These scripts are designed to increa
 se awareness\, promote dialogue\, and implement strategic solutions aroun
 d conflicts and miscommunications rooted in racism\, sexism\, classism\, 
 and other aspects of social identity.  \n\nLearning outcomes will focus o
 n recognizing discriminatory behaviors\, improving communication\, and nu

DESCRIPTION:The Duke Transplant Advanced Practice Provider Symposium ("APP
  Symposium") is a meeting for all transplant providers in the field of so
 lid organ transplantation with an emphasis on the APP role in the managem
 ent of transplant patients. This educational event provides updates on cu
 rrent protocols\, introduces new and exciting topics in the transplant co
 mmunity\, and discusses the projects that transplant APPs are involved in
  nationwide. Relevant topics also cover provider self-care and well-being
 \, as well as career development and advancement strategies. \n\nAttended
  by providers from over 40 transplant organizations and centers across th
 e country\, the APP Symposium has attracted national recognition and is o
 ne of the few APP-focused conferences available in the transplant field. 
 Our sessions feature didactic presentations\, case-based studies\, the mo
 st up-to-date information and research related to medications\, and best 
 practices for successful patient care.
