with the idea that travel can be transformative in the life of an emerging art ist\, the grant offers a singular opportunity to broaden artistic and cul tural experience beyond the traditional educational environment. The bie nnial $10\,000 fellowship\, funded by Cassilhaus founders Ellen Cassilly and Frank Konhaus\, supports Duke University MFAEDA graduates for an eigh teen-month period in their artistic research and practice post MFA. With her Cassilhaus Travel Fellowship\, Felicity Palma traveled to Puglia\, It aly\, to work on a restaging of Kathy Acker's Orphic myth. Palma also con ducted research at The Sallie Bingham Center for Women's History and Cult ure through a residency at Duke's Rubenstein Library\, working with texts by Kathy Acker and Eve Sedgwick.
