 \, the world will end. No pressure!! As the Woman balances love\, busines
 s ownership\, and civil responsibility\, the mandate to be Good proves im
 possible... on her own. To preserve her Goodness\, she creates an alter e
 go who isn't afraid to get the job done by any means necessary: the Girl 
 Boss.\n\n"GOOD" explores the measures women take to maintain their identi
 ty in a world that consistently proves they will never be enough\, but al
 so strongly advises them against being too much.\n\nBertolt Brecht's "The
  Good Woman of Setzuan" is reimagined for the 21st century in this ensemb
 le-driven play with an original pop score created by Duke Theater Studies
  Artist-in-Residence Rebecca Wahls.\n\nRebecca Wahls is a director\, writ
 er\, and producer of film\, theatre\, and new media. Her first feature fi
 lm\, "Him\," is currently playing festivals across the US and is the winn
 er of the Director's Award for Best Performance (Ensemble) at the Woods H
 ole Film Festival.\n\nWahls has served as Artistic Associate with Acting 
 for Young People since 2015\, where she wrote and directed over 50 plays 
 for children. In 2017\, Wahls founded the non-profit theatre Who What Whe
 re Productions\, where she produced and directed several world premiere p
 lays including "Spills" by Ruthie Rado\, which has gone on to successful 
 runs in NYC and London. Currently she is developing this old haunt\, a ne
 w musical with Maggie Kane\, SMJ\, and Dillon Feldman. It was a part of t
 he 2022 Season at Fort Salem Theater in Salem\, NY and was a part of the 
 2022-2023 Season at Carnegie Mellon University. It has gone on to become 
 a finalist for 2024's Write Out Loud competition\, be selected to appear 
 in the 2023 Musical Theatre Educators' Alliance's New Works Collaboration
  Catalog\, have a 29-hour reading with Tisch New Theatre at NYU\, be feat
 ured in the Latiné Musical Theatre Lab & Prospect Theater Company's New M
 usicals Mixtape Concert at Chelsea Factory\, and be selected as a Finalis
 t for Parlando School of Musical Arts' 2024 New Musical Project.
