During this presentation, the audience will:

* Learn how to perform an experiment aboard the International Space Station
* Discuss pre-flight testing in extreme environments, parabolic flight, astronaut training, and space-ground communications
* Learn about lab-on-a-chip technology for microbial environmental monitoring of the spacecraft cabin
* Discuss role of this technology to support NASA's goal of returning humans to the Moon and Mars in the 2020s, and to search for signs of past and present life on other planets
