Pollinator Planting and Hummingbird Gardens
Pollination is a key event for a plant and imperative for our food supplies. In this online presentation with Neeti Bathala, professor, author, gardener and graduate of the Nicholas School of the Environment, she will introduce you to gardening choices that can provide a continuity of nectar and pollen across the seasons. She will cover native plants, cultivars and exotic plants that attract wildlife and help you distinguish between providing food and creating habitat. A particular focus will be on supporting ruby-throated hummingbirds. Examples will include gardens from container plantings to a full yard-level gardening.
