 accompanied by the director Jacques Perconte's burning question of whethe
 r we happen to be the very last people who will ever have the chance to s
 ee Mont Blanc's summit. It's all in response to the earth's rising temper
 atures\, which is causing glaciers to melt at a rapid pace. Perconte's wo
 rk is unique in the sense that in revealing the inner strength and pulsat
 ion of what is seen on screen\, he combines a plasticity that follows on 
 the pictorial tradition inherited from painting and experimental film\, w
 ith documentary film rooted in a specific space.\n\n"In his works\, Perco
 nte achieves a synthesis in which he finds a response to dialectical tens
 ion between the modern concept of techne and physis. These digits of the

  appealing. Thing reveals an unreliable\, yet beautiful reality.\n\n"The 
 technology used in 'Thing' does not allow talking about a camera since it
  is made of 3D scans of urban spaces. Instead\, we could talk about a poi
 nt of view\, a gaze\, or even a body (that wanders). Thereby\, a tension
