Duke websites present a significant risk to the university and can provide an avenue of attack against other Duke systems. To help website owners and developers secure their sites, the IT Security Office (ITSO), Office of Information Technology (OIT) and Office of Marketing and Strategic Communications (OMSC) have developed guidance and options for those managing websites at Duke in the Duke web hosting policy (https://security.duke.edu/policies/web-hosting) and Web Security Standards.
