The Queer Environment: The Significance of Queer Persons in the Environmental Movement

By elevating queer voices in the environmental movement, this panel series will illuminate the impacts and benefits of queerness in the realm of environmental justice. It will also elevate the concept of inclusivity as a necessity in the Environmental Justice movement using the issue areas of ACP, CAFOs, Coal Ash, and Deforestation, four key EJ issue areas in North Carolina, as a framework. The event will be located at the Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity [CSGD] in the Bryan Center of Duke University from 6:30 pm - 8 pm on February 12th. Food will be provided!

***Note: Confidentiality will be provided and maintained, as not all persons attending will want to express their identity openly. Consequentially, we will ask that there be no video recording nor photos at the event by participants or hosts unless the persons in said items have formally agreed in advance.
