Guided Tour of Duke Chapel

Free and open to the public, this forty-five-minute tour introduces visitors to the Chapel's history, architecture, and traditions.

To attend a tour, meet the docent on the front steps of the Chapel following the morning worship service, which typically ends at 12:15 p.m. No reservations are necessary but large groups as asked to notify the Chapel in advance at 919-681-9488 or dukechapel@duke.edu.

Parking is available on a first-come-first-served basis in the Bryan Center garage at 125 Science Drive. ADA parking is available in the Bryan Center Surface Lot at the same address. For more parking options, visit chapel.duke.edu/visit-events/visit#parking.

The tour covers the building's stained-glass windows, Gothic architecture, intricate woodwork, original architects, Duke family memorials, four organs, carillon, and more. It begins outside and then moves through the Chapel's narthex, nave, side chapel, and crypt.
