Conference: "Documentary and the Middle East"

The Documentary and the Middle East Conference showcases undergraduate documentary work (from the Documenting the Middle East course / AMES 204FS) at 10:00 am, followed by a light lunch. At 12:30 pm, there will be presentations by three scholars followed by audience discussion:
*Laila El-Haddad (Author, The Gaza Kitchen): Taste, Struggle, and Place: Culinary Resistance in the Gaza Kitchen
*Ahmed Mansour (Filmmaker): Excerpts from Mansour's new documentary, Brooklyn, Inshallah
*Helga Tawil-Souri (New York University): Situating Palestine and Palestinianness
