Save the date for our Annual Harriet Cook Carter Lecture on Monday, February 4, 2019 from 3:00 to 4:00 pm.
Keynote speaker:
Ann Burgess, DNSc, APRN, BC, FAAN, Professor of Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing at Boston College, Connell School of Nursing and Professor Emerita from the University of Pennsylvania.
This presentation is case-based and reviews some of the high-profile cases over the years and the effects on the public's view of rape. Special attention will be given to campus sexual assault and student views on disposition of cases. Also, the topic of sexual homicide will be addressed through the cases from the Netflix series Mindhunter.
The lecture will be followed by a panel discussion from 4:00 - 5:00 pm.
