Language, Postcoloniality, and Philippine Elites
Dr. Reyes is Professor and Chair of the Department of English at Hunger College, CUNY. She is a linguistic anthropologist by training, and conducts research on language ideologies and issues of race, nation and modernity. She is Associate Editor for Linguistic Anthropology of American Anthropologist. Among her book publications are "Language, Identity and Stereotype Among Southeast Asian American Youth" and an edited volume, "Beyond Yellow English."
