Robyn Kolas, Principal Process Development Engineer, Coty, Inc.

This is a great opportunity for students interested in careers as research and development engineers; the consumer products industry; product design, development, and launch; and food and cosmetics products.

Robyn is an experienced research and development engineer with 16 years of consumer products industry experience that includes food, cosmetics, and OTC sunscreen products. Currently, Robyn is a principal process development engineer at Coty, Inc., which was acquired by Proctor & Gamble's Beauty Division. As part of this role, she lead the technical process design and qualification process for a major emulsions making process innovation that impacts 85% of the Covergirl and Max Factor liquid makeup business and enables significant late product differentiation, batch cycle time reduction and batch size flexibility. Previously, Robyn worked in Proctor & Gamble's Global Color Cosmetics as a senior process development engineer, a senior formulation engineer, and a senior packaging engineer. Prior to her roles in cosmetics, she was a formulation and process development engineer for instant and single serve coffee within Proctor & Gamble's Coffee Product Development group. Robyn has a bachelor of science in chemical and biomolecular engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
