Cyber Security: America's Greatest Threat?

Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper will speak at the Sanford School of Public Policy on "Cyber Security: America's Greatest Threat?" in conversation with Professor Peter Feaver. This inaugural David M. Rubenstein Distinguished Speakers Lecture is free and open to the public.

James Clapper served as the director of national intelligence from 2010 to 2017. As the nation's top intelligence official, overseeing the CIA, NSA and the FBI, he provided the daily morning briefing to President Barack Obama.

Clapper also served as the director of the Defense Intelligence Agency under President H.W. Bush, and the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and director of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency under President George W. Bush. He is a retired three-star Air Force lieutenant general and is writing a book about his experiences for Viking Press.

This event is part of the year-long centennial celebration of Terry Sanford, Duke's president from 1970-1985.
