5:30 pm - 6:30 pm
Jessica Huseman
Sanford Stand For Series

Jessica Huseman will speak with Prof. Bill Adair about her work covering voting rights and election administration for ProPublica. She is the lead reporter for ProPublica's Electionland project, which helps hundreds of newsrooms across the United States cover ballot access issues in real time. October 1 in the evening.

This fall semester at Duke University, the Sanford School of Public Policy is organizing a signature virtual speaker series to explore important policy conversations around the issues of democracy, justice, equity, community, strategy and human rights. Each talk in the "Stand for" series is created for a broad audience of Duke students, faculty, community members, alumni; also media, policymakers, prospective students and all interested in these topics from a policy lens. We'll hear from justice advocates from Civil Rights Corps, Worth Rises and Drug Policy Alliance; a former U.S. Secretary of Defense; a poet and president of the Andrew R. Mellon Foundation, and many more. Join the Sanford School of Public Policy and its many partners for this series, funded through a generous gift from the William R. Kenan, Jr. Charitable Trust Endowment Fund in honor of Terry Sanford.
