A Conversation with The Honorable Christopher Landau, U.S. Ambassador to Mexico

Join Ambassador Patrick Duddy (Director, Duke University Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies; Fellow, Rethinking Diplomacy Program) in a Zoom conversation with The Honorable Christopher Landau, U.S. Ambassador to Mexico, to discuss U.S.- Mexico relations.

Ambassador Landau was born in Madrid, Spain, and speaks fluent Spanish. He graduated summa cum laude from Harvard College in 1985, where he earned a Certificate in Latin American Studies. He graduated magna cum laude from Harvard Law School in 1989, and thereafter clerked for Associate Justices Antonin Scalia and Clarence Thomas of the United States Supreme Court. Ambassador Landau practiced law in Washington, DC, for thirty years. He has argued nine cases in the U.S. Supreme Court and has briefed and argued appeals in all of the U.S. Courts of Appeals.
