Blackburn Literary Festival 2021
Hey Duke!
Love writing? Interested in hearing a Pulitzer-prize winning poet speak about her work? Been a loyal fan of The Archive (https://dukearchive.org/) since its founding in 1887 and can't wait to attend our biggest event of the year?
Then join us for the annual Blackburn Literary Festival on April 14 from 8:00 - 9:00 pm EST! This year's ~virtual~ LitFest will feature a 15-minute poetry reading by acclaimed poet Sharon Olds, followed by a moderated conversation and audience Q&A.
"By writing with such candour and clarity, Olds has granted younger poets-especially women- permission to speak. Her poems, in their evocation of trauma or desire, in their grief and joy and comedy, have opened new possibilities for poetry in our time." -Mark Doty, Chancellor of the Academy of American Poets
