Durham Garden Forum: Growing Lavender
Join us to learn all about growing and using lavender. On a small farm, Annie Bagget of Sunshine Lavender Farm and her family grow about a dozen varieties of lavender - pink, white and all shades of purple. The family recognizes the impact on local communities and works to support the local economy and ecology through lavender festivals, sales and growing lavender with natural, practical methods. Durham Garden Forum, an informal group independent of Duke Gardens, meets once a month to enrich its members' gardening knowledge and skill. Sponsored in partnership with the N.C. Cooperative Extension: Durham County Center. Meet in the Doris Duke Center. For membership information, email durhamgardenforum@gmail.com. No pre-registration necessary.
