Data Dialogue/Energy Initiative Seminar

The Information Initiative and the Energy Initiative at Duke are delighted to bring alum Evan Anderson back to campus! Evan is the Co-founder/CEO of Oseberg, a leading SaaS and data intelligence company in the oil and gas industry that offers a compelling new approach to rapidly convert public regulatory and county level data into actionable intelligence. Oseberg counts most of the industry's most active exploration and production companies (AKA E&Ps) as clients, and Evan consults with firms such as the Gerson Lehrman Group (GLG). He will share his experiences as an entrepreneur and discuss how computer science and data analytics shape traditional upstream/midstream energy companies. He'll describe how companies like Oseberg are shaping the energy industry, and the broader potential reach of innovative data analytics.
