Nasher Exhibition: Pop América: 1965-1975

Sponsor(s): Nasher Museum of Art
Cost: Free to students, faculty and staff
The Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University is proud to support the groundbreaking research of guest curator and Duke Professor Esther Gabara with "Pop América, 1965-1975." This exhibition is the first to present a hemispheric vision of Pop art; it shows how Latin American and Latino/a artists made a significant contribution to this artistic period. Visitors who know and love Pop art for its engaging imagery will rediscover Pop as a verb, a strategy for communicating powerful content throughout the Americas.
