Illness Revelations and the Bodies of History+Medicine+Us is a new Health Humanities Lab-funded performance project that investigates the 'eugenics impulse' in each of us. The project also explores the nature of care, oppression, dis/ability and healing. Historic archive research, Chronic Commons community workshops, and embodied artistic inquiry will culminate in a first public presentation of the project on April 25 as an opening event for the Disability in the Disciplines conference. You are invited to experience the project and to offer feedback during this special work-in-progress preview of Illness Revelations. The presentation will be followed by a narrative medicine reflective writing prompt and a facilitated discussion. Lunch included.
