Prior to his MBA he graduated from The Institute of Culinary Education in New York City with a diploma in Culinary Arts. He also earned his Bachelor of Arts from Davidson College, studying classical civilizations and languages. He is the Founder of Eastcut Sandwich Bar in Durham, NC.
