MOSTLY French recital of the Natural Horn from Paris. This concert will present the audience with a history of the baroque and classical horn through the music of Duvernoy, Gallay, Mozart, Saint Saens, and more. Rachel Niketopoulos and Chris Caudill are members of the horn section in the North Carolina Symphony. As a duo, they have performed on both Baroque and Classical natural horns with North Carolina Baroque, Brussels Chamber Orchestra, Apollo's Fire (Cleveland Baroque Orchestra), and Atlanta Baroque. North Carolina Symphony colleague Vonda Darr is principal harpist on the NCS classical series. Vonda is also an active chamber and solo recitalist. She has performed on the North Carolina Symphony's Manning Chamber Series and is a frequent guest artist with Chamber Music Charleston. Mrs. Darr has presented concerts for the Piccolo Spoleto Festival and for the American Harp Society National Conference. She is a founding member of the Lyra Vivace Chamber Orchestra, and performs as Duo Venandi with flutist Wendy Cohen. Jacqueline Nappi is Minister of Music at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Durham and Piano Teacher and Music Coordinator at Durham Academy. She performs regularly with Mallarme Chamber Players and has been involved in the Duke Chapel Bach Cantata Series since 2016.
