Duke Symphony Orchestra: Classical to the Core

Tchaikovsky's beloved Serenade for Strings opens the concert with lush melodies, graceful dances, and spirited energy. Pianist Vicky Yang '25 then joins the orchestra for Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 9 in E-flat Major, a work filled with wit, drama, and dazzling musical conversation. The evening concludes with Sibelius's Symphony No. 3 in C Major, a bold and compelling work that balances Classical clarity with the composer's unmistakable Nordic voice.
