WHAT IS THE GOSPEL?

When we think of the Gospel, or the "Good News," we might think of Jesus in the book of Mark, preaching throughout Galilee: "Repent and believe the good news..." In some Christian traditions, the Gospel is simplified to a bare-bones message: "Jesus died for your sins." But there is much depth, beauty, and richness in the vision of the Good News that Isaiah shares in chapters 52-58 of his prophecy. Join us for four weeks in June as we dig into these passages and answer the question: "What is the Gospel?"

The study will take place on Tuesday evenings from 7:00-8:30 on June 9, 16, 23, and 30 at Epworth United Methodist Church, 3002 Hope Valley Road, Durham. Email Mindy Erdmann at mindy.erdmann@duke.edu with questions.
