CCN Professional Development: Individual Development Plan Workshop

The purpose of the Individual Develop Plan is to help you structure your time at Duke and plan for the outcome that best serves your long-term career and professional goals. Be it publishing, obtaining certificates, gaining teaching experience, running a lab, cultivating professional relationships, passing exams, etc., everyone benefits from planning. Planning and communicating your program ahead of time and in alignment with your personal values ensures that time, funding, and energy are maximized.

Facilitated by Dr. Samanez-Larkin, this workshop will focus on creating your first draft (IDP template attached) or refining the one you have in place. We will also discuss core competencies and how to facilitate productive conversations with faculty and advisors about your IDP.

This workshop is open to faculty, staff and students from all of our Duke neuroscience communities.
