CCN Colloquium: "Integrating Skill-Based Psychotherapy with Neurotechnology to Optimize Therapeutic Outcomes Across Disorders"

In this talk, I will present how emotion dysregulation is a key aspect of psychopathology and how intervention for emotion dysregulation can be relevant across disorders. Next, I'll highlight existing treatments for emotion dysregulation and the need to optimize these interventions. I will introduce neuroimaging and neurostimulation as tools that can enhance psychotherapies for transdiagnostic emotion dysregulation. I will then present findings from my program of research, which integrates precision neuromodulation with cognitive restructuring to identify brain and behavioral changes across various disorders. Current findings, next steps, and a blueprint for other applications at the intersection of neuroimaging, neuromodulation, and behavioral intervention will be discussed.
