Metabolic and Physiological Implications of Flexibility in the mitochondrial electron transport chain

The overarching goal of the Spinelli lab is to understand how cells sense and adapt to metabolic stress. They aim to uncover mechanisms underlying metabolic flexibility in healthy mammals, and determine how these adaptations are dysfunctional in the context of diseases like cancer, obesity, mitochondrial myopathies, and ischemia.
