Practical Mending

In this workshop, we will cover basic hand sewing techniques used for mending. We will look at mending projects you bring in, or practice practical stitches on a swatch. Bring 1-2 mending projects (items with holes, missing buttons, stains, etc) you would like to ask questions about and get started on- be sure to bring any supplies you specifically need like zippers, buttons, matching thread or fabric for patching, etc. If you are just getting started with a project and need some encouragement and time set aside to fix a beloved garment or textile item like bags or pillows, this workshop is for you!
