CANCELED The Society for Creative Anachronism: Exhibition of Medieval and Renaissance Material Culture

The Duke Program in Medieval and Renaissance Studies presents the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA, Inc.), a 501(3)(c) educational organization that will put on a "living history" exhibition of Medieval and Renaissance material culture on Abele Quad in the midst of the campus's neo-Gothic architecture.

Some 40 to 50 SCA members will give demonstrations of calligraphy and book illumination, weaving, heraldry, martial arts, archery, music, cooking, and other crafts of everyday life. Exhibitors will make connections to current courses being taught this spring term.

The festival is free to all faculty, staff, and students, as well as the general public.
