fury: Devised Theater Workshops

Womans head with Fury written near it
Wednesday, October 05, 2022
6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Blair Cadden

Resident artist of the Department of Theater Studies Blair Cadden is kicking off workshops this week for "fury," an original theater piece about women's rage. The piece will be created collaboratively with Duke students throughout the year, drawing inspiration from Greek myth, current events, and our own reflections. Performers, writers, designers, and creative folks of all genders are invited to come explore the themes of women's rage-what it looks like, the ways it is often silenced, and its potential power if unleashed!

Fall workshops for "fury" will be drop-in style, so anyone who's interested in being a part of the process can come contribute. Auditions will be held later this semester to create the performance ensemble who will rehearse and present the project in January and February 2023.

Next workshop: 6:00 pm Wednesday, October 5, Brody Theater. All are welcome!
