Established in 2022, the Richard Payne Award and Lecture in Faith, Justice, and Health Care aims to highlight and honor academic, clinical, and lay leaders who embody Dr. Payne's spirit of caring for the whole person in their work and research.
This year's Payne lecturer and award recipient is Dr. Kimberly S. Johnson, Professor of Medicine in Geriatrics at Duke University School of Medicine.
Please join us on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at 6:00pm ET in Goodson Chapel at Duke Divinity School for her talk, titled "Addressing Inequities in Serious Illness Care for African Americans: A Matter of Justice and A Call to Action for Faith Communities and Healthcare Systems."
An award reception will follow at 7:30pm.
