Herbal Tea Making Workshop
Visit some plants in the garden that herbal teas come from as you learn about the properties and uses of their teas. Then you'll create your own tea blend to take home with a reusable tea strainer. We'll also discuss harvesting and drying herbal tea material.
This workshop will be led by Tigerlily Kaynor, a Duke undergraduate student and member of Duke Gardens' Equity Through Stories Program, and Kati Henderson, Duke Gardens staff educator and partnerships coordinator. It's part of a series in which participants will learn hands-on skills to work with plants, build their personal relationships with featured plants, and develop community connections with each other and with our beyond-human neighbors and this place. Check for more workshops in 2024. Children ages 10 - 17 can participate with an adult; both are required to register. Fee: $16 per person; 20% discount for Duke Gardens members with discount code.
Workshop will take place primarily indoors, with a portion outdoors in the garden.
