Duke Opera Theater: "The Queen's Perspective"

Scenes from Mozart's "Magic Flute" as told by the Queen of the Night.

Features the cast of Duke Opera Theater, alumna Ivy Zhou (Class of 2013) as the Queen of the Night, piano accompaniment by Daniel Seyfried, and a virtual appearance by the Tenors and Basses of the Duke Chorale. David Heid directs Duke Opera Theater.

Since graduating from Duke, Ivy Zhou has received a Master of Music in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy from Westminster Choir College and has performed all over the East Coast, the Pacific Northwest, and internationally on major stages in Suzhou and Nanjing, China. In 2017, she received a Metropolitan National Council encouragement award and in 2018 she was a finalist in the Coeur d'Alene Symphony Orchestra Young Artist Competition.
