Exhibition talk with Photographer Earl Dotter
Starting with the Appalachian coalfields, Earl Dotter has dedicated his career to photographing the American worker. He will discuss his earliest work as a photographer for the United Mine Workers of America Journal, as well as his trajectory photographing a wide array of dangerous occupations. A moderated discussion will follow with one of his subjects, Brandi Son, whose photographs are on view as part of the exhibit. Be sure to view "Residue: The Early Coal Mining Photographs of Earl Dotter" on view at the Rubenstein Photography Gallery through October 1st.
