CEE Seminar Examining the Environment in Relation to Autism
Sponsor(s): Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE)
A growing body of literature indicates that the environment, or factors that might be modified, can contribute to autism. This talk will summarize the epidemiology of autism with this focus, highlight potential areas for interaction with genetic factors, and draw on examples using air pollution where large datasets and high dimensional data methods might be useful for population-based research.
