Naturally Wild presents Birding for QTBIPOC
Explore the birds that call Duke Gardens home with Naturally Wild LLC. Join bird guide Deja Perkins to explore how the garden changes from spring to summer and how the feathered residents change from month to month. Participants will learn how to identify various birds, help contribute to the NC Bird Atlas, and learn how to monitor birds in their own neighborhoods using Merlin and eBird. This program is offered every first Saturday from March through June, on March 2, April 6, May 4 and June 1.
This program is designed to center BIPOC audiences, voices and experiences. Registration is prioritized for individuals who identify as Black, Indigenous, or a Person of Color. All skill levels are welcome. Sanitized binoculars will be available for use; participants are also welcome to bring their own.
Meet at Gothic Gate entrance.
