This conversation will address some characteristics and consequences of contemporary wars, including those in Ukraine and Gaza, with special attention to ways that each of these should be understood not only in national or regional terms but also as elements of an emerging global governance regime.

Sandro Mezzadra teaches political theory at the University of Bologna.
