Joint NC BERD Seminar: Nonparametric statistics: understanding rank-based methods & ordinal data

Investigators are often worried about normality and whether the assumptions of classical methods are met. Nonparametric tests (e.g., the Mann-Whitney U-test instead of the t-test) offer an attractive alternative. In this seminar Jeff Laux, PhD, will discuss the nature of ordinal data and rank-based analyses.
