Listening Lunch Concert

The Program in Latino/a Studies in the Global South is excited to invite you to a Listening Lunch concert on the Biddle Music Building back patio at 12:30pm on Wednesday, April 8th!

With food from Durham's famous Taqueria La Vaquita, the lunch will feature music from visiting musicians Cesar Castro and Chùy Sandoval, who are steeped in the son jarocho tradition of Veracruz, Mexico. The maestros are visiting Durham for the annual Fandango de Durham on April 11th, a free community festival that celebrates son jarocho. We are excited to have them on campus. In anticipation of the Fandango de Durham, please join us for lunch, music, and convivencia with students and colleagues!
