Join APSI and DUCIGS for a China Town Hall on Tuesday, October 19th at 7:00 p.m. (EST). The first part of the event will consist of a virtual "watch party" for a keynote address from the National Committee on US-China Relations featuring renowned author, journalist and political commentator, Fareed Zakaria, for a discussion of how the U.S.-China relationship affects our cities, towns, and communities. From supply chains to national security, new technologies to climate change, the future of both countries will be determined by their relations with one another and the global community. This is the NCUSCR's 15th annual CHINA Town Hall Keynote.

Following the livestream of Fareed Zakaria's talk, Duke Professor Jackson Ewing will moderate a follow-up discussion about searching for common ground in the US-China relationship. Topics to be covered include the environment, renewable/clean energy, and science and technology cooperation and engagement. There will be three experts: Jonathan Gonzalez-Smith (Margolis Center for Health Policy at Duke), Joanna Lewis (Georgetown University), and Richard P. Suttmeier (University of Oregon). Jackson Ewing (Duke University) will serve as the moderator.

This event is organized by Duke's Asian/Pacific Studies Institute and Center for International and Global Studies. Supporters include the Duke Law School Center for Innovation Policy.
