LIRE ET ECRIRE APRES UN ATTENTAT

Philippe Lançon is an accomplished author, literary critic, and journalist in the French media. He is also a Duke colleague, having taught seminars in French literature in the Department of Romance Studies in 2011.
In January 2015, Lançon survived the attacks at the Charlie Hebdo newspaper in Paris.
This semester, we have the honor and pleasure of welcoming him back to campus.

He will be speaking on the challenges of free expression today: "Reading & Writing in the Wake of Attack" [Comment lire et écrire après un attentat].
