Giacomo Todeschini, Professor of History at Università di Trieste, is a renowned historian of medieval and early modern economic thought. His research concerns the history of medieval economic theories and linguistic constructs, the Christian doctrine of infamy and exclusion from citizenship and the market, and the role of Jews in the medieval and modern Christian world. This lecture is sponsored by Religions and Public Life at the Kenan Institute of Ethics, the Duke Center for Jewish Studies, NC State University, UNC Carolina Seminars, and the Wake Forest Dept. of Politics and International Affairs.
